Bridgeport Hospital is a private, not-for-profit acute care hospital located in Connecticut’s most populous city, primarily serving patients from Fairfield and New Haven counties.Through its close relationship with area ambulance services, Bridgeport Hospital provides expert care to the trauma/burn patient beginning in the field and continues that care throughout the course of the patient’s hospitalization and beyond, including the Emergency Department, Operating Room, Intensive Care Units and inpatient/outpatient Rehabilitation settings.In addition to being a state designated regional level 2 trauma center, the hospital’s EDs accredited for Geriatric Emergency Medicine Services (GEMS) and has a dedicated Children’s Emergency Center in partnership with Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.
