Robert Luckritz has served in healthcare for nearly 30 years, serving in many roles including EMS Chief and hospital leader. He is currently the Chief of Austin-Travis County EMS, the largest municipal third-service EMS agency in the United States.
Prior to joining Austin-Travis County EMS, and throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, Robert served as Vice President of Hospital Operations for Jersey City Medical Center, a 356-bed metro-NYC academic medical center. Before joining the hospital administration, Robert served as the Chief of Jersey City EMS.
Robert received his bachelor’s degree in EMS Management from Springfield College, and a Juris Doctor degree from Western New England University. In 2015, he received the JEMS Magazine EMS10 Innovators in EMS Award, and was the recipient of a 2016 NAEMT Presidential Leadership Award.
Robert is the President-Elect of the National Association of EMTs, having served on the Board of Directors for more than 10 years. He was also President of the New Jersey Association of Paramedics and a Board member of the National Association of Urban Hospitals. Robert is also a licensed attorney.
