Dr. Maura DeJoseph is a board-certified Forensic Pathologist working as the Deputy Chief Medical Examiner for the State of Connecticut. Dr. DeJoseph has been the Deputy Chief in Connecticut for 12 years and a medical examiner for 19 years, having also worked previously in Long Island, NY and New York City. She is the Associate Program Director of the UCONN Forensic Pathology Fellowship Program. Dr. DeJoseph is involved at the statewide level in several public health initiatives through maternal mortality, intimate partner violence and overdose fatality review panels. Additionally, she is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Forensic Sciences and is the National Association of Medical Examiners Fellowship Committee Chair and Designated Liaison with the American Board of Pathology. She has been on several American Board of Pathology Committees and Panels for Autopsy and Forensic Pathology Education and Competency.
