About me
Katerina Dukleska, MD, FACS is a Pediatric Surgeon at Connecticut Children's Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. She completed her general surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals and her pediatric surgery fellowship at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, where she has remained on faculty since 2021. A dedicated surgical educator, Dr. Dukleska serves as an ATLS and Obstetric Life Support instructor, directs the annual General Surgery Intern Bootcamp at UConn, and has received multiple teaching awards across her career from both residents and students. Her quality and patient safety work includes membership on the ACS NSQIP Surgical Advisory Council, contributions to the Eastern Pediatric Surgery Network, and institutional leadership through Connecticut Children's Surgical Quality Program. She has presented at the Connecticut Trauma Conference and the TQIP Annual Conference on topics spanning pediatric trauma, standardizing surgical care, and social determinants of health in injury prevention.
